She took elective classes in Japanese-style acupuncture, othropedic/Sports acupuncture, and served as student council president for one year. She completed 9 senior internships alongside medical students and attending doctors with UCSD La Jolla.

She took 4 individual tests to obtain this license and must complete continuing education to withhold her national certification. She is evaluated on both western and eastern medicine to withhold her license every 4 years.
